Parking Laws are strictly enforced in Anna Maria.
Common Parking Violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Parking with tires on the pavement
  • Parking on or over a sidewalk
  • Parked facing oncoming traffic
  • Parking where prohibited
  • Angle parking
  • Parked within 30’ of a stop sign
  • Parked within 20’ of intersection
  • Double parked
  • Blocking drive
  • Parked within 15' of a fire hydrant
  • Illegally parking in a handicapped space

To Dispute A Parking Violation:
Click here to request an appeal online or email your contact information along with the violation number to  codemanager@cityofannamaria.com.  Please include your mailing address to be sent the notice of hearing to appear before a Special Magistrate. 

Note: If an appeal of the violation is filed with the city and the violator fails to prevail, the Special Magistrate shall assess a fine against the violator at the amount listed on the citation and assessed costs and fees, which are all expenses incurred by the city relating to its Code Inspector, City Attorney, expert witnesses, Administrative Staff, and expenses relating to services of notices, publication and other miscellaneous costs reasonably necessary in the prosecution pursuant to this ordinance of the specific violations of the city code as determined by order of the Special Magistrate.
