Essential Duties and Responsiblities:
Primary duties will include performing building code inspections and/or plans review (building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing – as licensed) on residential and commercial buildings, as well as managing specific projects related to these types of code inspections.  Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Education:  Hold State of Florida license as an Inspector (BN) and/or Plan Reviewer (PX), with certification in one or more of the following disciplines: Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Plumbing or Meet the requirements of state of Florida Statute 468.609(2) for provisional certification. High school graduate or GED equivalency. Three years of experience as a building inspector, or in building construction as a master craftsman, contractor, journeyman, builder, or supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will perform office duties, investigation and field work involving the enforcement of the codes, laws and regulations of the City of Anna Maria.  The position includes issuing parking tickets, performing code enforcement inspections, issuing code enforcement citations and notices as required and responding to complaints and inquiries.  This position requires parking enforcement certification.  The position requires working weekends, holidays and primarily consists of working outdoors.
